How hard is it to find a townhouse with a true master bedroom/bathroom? Very! But your wait is over. Introducing the perfect end-unit townhouse with two spacious bedrooms and two full size bathrooms upstairs, including a beautifully updated master bathroom! The excitement doesn’t end there. You also get more above-grade square footage (1,300+!!) than any townhouse/duplex in this price range…much more. Top it off with a large, private patio, a wood-burning fireplace, and a large main level with plenty of space for a dining table and office nook and you have found the perfect home at the perfect price. The grassy space to the right of the home is HOA-owned, but the owners take advantage of it for yard games and their dog. You get one assigned space directly in front of the home and can use one of six guest spaces for a second car, or any of the open street parking along 5th St. The water heater was replaced in 2018.
The community sits on a private side street off of 5th, which makes it quiet and safe for dogs and kids. There’s a large open space perfect for picnics with large groups and playing fetch with a pup. Six designated guest spaces are available for owners and guests and there is always plenty of unpermitted parking available on 5th St. Although the community is all townhouses, it’s condominium ownership so the Association is responsible for everything outside of the walls of your home and water, sewer, trash, snow removal, and lawn care are included in the low monthly fee (your Homeowners Insurance should also be cheaper).
You wouldn’t expect walkability here, but you’ve got it! Ruthie’s All-Day restaurant (by the same restaurant group that owns Northside Social, Liberty Tavern, and Lyon Hall) is opening soon just steps away or swing by 7-11 for essentials just one block away. Looking for another kind of walkability? You’re one block away from the incredible Thomas Jefferson Community Center and Middle School combining for a great offering of pools, courts, fields, and fitness center. TJMS also hosts the annual Arlington County Fair. The brand new Fleet Elementary School is also just a few blocks away. This location is also a commuters dream with easy access to major roadway including Glebe Rd, Rt 50, Columbia Pike, 66, 395, 495, and the GW Parkway. Bus stops to Metro are also nearby along Glebe Rd. From home you are minutes to National Airport, Washington DC, The Pentagon, Amazon HQ2, Clarendon, Alexandria, Tysons, and multiple grocery stores.
Arlington is a county located in the Commonwealth of Virginia, on the west bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington, D.C. Although sometimes referred to as a city, Arlington is actually a county which contains no incorporated towns or cities within its boundaries. Originally part of the 10-mile square area set aside in 1791 for the nation’s capital, the land now comprising Arlington County was returned to the Commonwealth of Virginia by the U.S. Congress in 1846 and was known at the time as Alexandria County. In 1852, the independent City of Alexandria was incorporated from a portion of the County, leading to confusion, as two adjacent municipal entities continued to share the same name (“Alexandria”). Although best known generally as the home of the Pentagon, The Iwo Jima War Memorial, and Arlington National Cemetery, the County is also an important employment center. The Federal Government accounts for the lion’s share of the roughly 200,000 jobs in Arlington, but high-tech companies have become increasingly prominent, as have several major associations, Fortune 500 companies, and other nationally known employers. The County’s residential population is among the most highly educated in the nation and is increasingly diverse. Arlington is the home of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and is serviced by the Orange, Blue and Yellow lines of the Washington Metro. The County is traversed by two Interstate highways, I-66 and I-395; as well as by the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
The name Arlington is synonymous in many people’s minds with Arlington National Cemetery, the most famous national cemetery in the United States. Veterans from all the nation’s wars are buried in the cemetery, as are two former Presidents (John F. Kennedy and William Howard Taft). Also located in Arlington are the Pentagon, headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, and several notable memorials, including the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial (also known as the “Iwo Jima Memorial”), the U.S. Air Force Memorial, and the Women in Military Service for America Memorial.
