WHAT MAKES THIS UNIT STAND OUT?

Meticulously maintained and updated by the same loving owners for 35 years! All three generously sized bedrooms have private ensuite bathrooms and excellent closet storage. An additional powder room is available off the marble foyer so that guests do not need to use private bathrooms. The living and dining areas have incredible 12ft ceilings and are wrapped in beautiful windows, with Hunter Douglas blinds, that open to views of the Washington Monument, trees, landscaped lawn, and open sky. The beautifully updated, open kitchen is highlighted by blue pearl Norwegian stone counters and custom cabinetry. The primary bedroom includes dual custom walk-in closets and the primary bathroom includes dual vanity and a separate shower and bathtub. Nearly all windows have been replaced with high-quality, sound-deadening windows that make the inside of the unit silent when closed. The HVAC closet is located in the hallway just outside of the unit so that sounds from the air handler don't travel into the unit. Two-zone heating and cooling and both thermostats can be wirelessly operated. The refrigerator and microwave have been replaced in the last two years, dishwasher is ~5 years old, and washer/dryer ~7 years old.

WHAT MAKES THIS BUILDING STAND OUT?

A Supreme Court Justice, Governor, and Congressman are among the many distinguished individuals who have called The Representative "home" over the years. Guests are welcomed by a porte-cochere when they arrive and led into a grand lobby with a friendly staffed front desk that is attended 24/7. Additional security monitors the property at night. Many key staff members have been employed with the building for multiple decades. Owners and their guests have access to two convenient elevator banks located on the north and south ends of the building, a gym that is currently being expanded to double in size and includes restrooms and shower facilities for men and women, an outdoor pool, and ample off-street community parking for guests. The building is excellently managed and the monthly assessment is below average on a cost per SqFt basis of similar full-service buildings. The building has recently upgraded the elevators and fire suppression system. The building is pressurized to allow proper air circulation through the buildings and units for healthier living. The lobby and swimming pool area have been designed to meet ADA standards.

Arlington is a county located in the Commonwealth of Virginia, on the west bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington, D.C. Although sometimes referred to as a city, Arlington is actually a county which contains no incorporated towns or cities within its boundaries. Originally part of the 10-mile square area set aside in 1791 for the nation’s capital, the land now comprising Arlington County was returned to the Commonwealth of Virginia by the U.S. Congress in 1846 and was known at the time as Alexandria County. In 1852, the independent City of Alexandria was incorporated from a portion of the County, leading to confusion, as two adjacent municipal entities continued to share the same name ("Alexandria"). Although best known generally as the home of the Pentagon, The Iwo Jima War Memorial, and Arlington National Cemetery, the County is also an important employment center. The Federal Government accounts for the lion's share of the roughly 200,000 jobs in Arlington, but high-tech companies have become increasingly prominent, as have several major associations, Fortune 500 companies, and other nationally known employers. The County’s residential population is among the most highly educated in the nation and is increasingly diverse. Arlington is the home of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and is serviced by the Orange, Blue and Yellow lines of the Washington Metro. The County is traversed by two Interstate highways, I-66 and I-395; as well as by the George Washington Memorial Parkway.

The name Arlington is synonymous in many people's minds with Arlington National Cemetery, the most famous national cemetery in the United States. Veterans from all the nation's wars are buried in the cemetery, as are two former Presidents (John F. Kennedy and William Howard Taft). Also located in Arlington are the Pentagon, headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, and several notable memorials, including the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial (also known as the "Iwo Jima Memorial"), the U.S. Air Force Memorial, and the Women in Military Service for America Memorial.
