Ed Schneider

Buying or selling a home is seldom easy. My job is to ensure your transaction goes as smoothly as possible. That’s why I vow to be with you every step of the way and treat you with the respect and courtesy you deserve. I work tirelessly and enthusiastically to accomplish your goals and fulfill your needs. My method is thorough: I get the details right from the get-go and present you with appropriate choices in an effective, timely manner. To me, this business is about you – about developing a positive, fruitful relationship that leads to a satisfying and rewarding outcome.

I take my responsibilities very seriously, so here is my promise:

  • You will receive my undivided attention.
  • I will listen to your wants and needs and do my very best to fulfill them.
  • I will do my best to make sure you are completely at ease with the entire process.
  • I will be available to answer any questions you may have.
  • I will offer you the information and guidance you will need to make good choices.
  • And I will make every effort to make your transaction as stress-free and fun as possible.

I was born, raised and schooled in New York City before moving to the Washington DC area. I have a degree in fine arts and a passion for art, architecture and design.

I began my professional life as a graphic designer. After a five-year stint art directing The Washington Post Magazine, I set up and operated a successful advertising agency. In addition, I wrote travel articles about some of the world’s least exotic locales. I also wrote scripts for feature films, an exercise that led me to start a literary agency that sold original screenplays to reluctant Hollywood producers and studio big-wigs.

I enjoy traveling, reading, good cinema, as well as mid-century modern architecture and art by 20th-century modernists. My wife, our rescue cat, Beau, and I live a quiet life in our historic mid-century modern home in Hollin Hills.
