Dina Paxenos

Dina was excellent. We were both first time home buyers and she was able to strike a perfect balance between just enough hand holding and hands offenses for us to decide without feeling pushed to make a rush decision. She was honest about the risks vs rewards of the places we saw and gave us honest opinion about whether something was worth the price or not. She was very quick to dial in our preferences and show us places that were a good match which saved a lot of time. She also knew DC very well. She also looked at the listings and filtered it down to places that we might like and matched our criteria before sending it to us, rather than just setting up an auto filter on the site. This was very helpful to narrow down the real possibilities rather than wasting time seeing everything in our “price range”. We made a purchase after just four weekends of looking and two offers. After we made the offer, she was a good advocate on our behalf, helping us throughout the process, and answering questions. She was very responsive and always returned phone calls and emails quickly. And helped us negotiate a slightly lower than asking price. On a personal level, she has a great laid-back personality, and she is a nice person. I was dreading the whole buying process, but she made it very easy by making us comfortable and explaining things as needed. We loved working with Dina, and highly recommend her as relator, and a new friend.

I hired Dina to sell my 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo in the Dupont Circle area in early September 2012. Dina was absolutely fantastic to work with and sold the condo in less than 10 days! Dina knows the DC market very well and took the time to go through each step of the process with me and what I should expect. She gave me very candid advice on what I needed to do to get the apartment ready for sale and I took her every word since she is so knowledgeable about what buyers like and what they don't. She set me up with a FANTASTIC stager who made the place look better then it did when I lived there and definitely helped show the best characteristics of the place and all its charms. Buying a house is one of the most nerve racking experiences a person can go through and I have to say that working with Dina made the process almost complete worry free. Dina was patient when our needs changed from fixer-upper, to condo, to renovation and in the end, we could not be happier with the product. These are what my wife and I put Dina through when we bought a house with her: Emailed her with questions at 11 pm (regularly) and got responses back before we woke up the next morning. Decided to make an offer on a house at 8 pm on Easter Sunday. She spent three hours on the phone with us drafting an offer to make before I left town for work the next day. We left for a week on our honeymoon, leaving Dina in charge of pest inspections and fixing a termite problem. She never complained, and in fact saved us thousands of dollars when she noticed a issue while reading documents at the closing. Seriously - if you need a realtor, use Dina. I can't recommend her enough. She'll handle every problem you throw at her, she'll watch your back, and she'll get you a great deal on a great house.

Dina was fantastic. We interviewed with a few realtors when we started our home buying process, and we were impressed with how together and good at follow-up Dina was right away. As first time buyers, she provided us with a lot of great info, and put up with a million questions (many repeated over and over). She was knowledgeable, and patient, and never pushy with our decision-making.
